The most ubiquitous style is the threaded screw cap. Caps are available in different sizes and colors and can be specialized for the type of container they sit upon. Popular cap materials include phenolic plastic, polypropylene and PTFE. Bottle caps can be lined with additional material and can be found in solid design or open design, which calls for a septa or insert for complete closure.

Each EZBiopure Titanium Round (TR) MTO cap assembly includes a GL45 open cap with adapter, GL45 close cap for storage, TPE tubing (ID 1/8 in, OD 1/4 in), fittings, a dip tube for precise draw, a 0.22 µm vent filter, and a ratchet-style pinch clamp. Each unit is double-bagged and gamma sterilized in the U.S.A.
